Take a lap, that’s what I like to call this. When I find myself stuck, stressed, need a minute, I find a way to disassociate from what I’m doing to give myself a quick recharge.
I’ve got a beautiful pond right here behind my house, and it takes me 7 minutes to walk from my desk out the door, around the pond, and then back to my desk.
In that 7 minutes, I am recharged, I’m refocused. I got the blood going again. It allows me to disengage from the issue that I was having, whether it’s a conflict or you just want to scream or you’re just stuck, you can’t think clearly.
I challenge you to find your taking a lap. What can you do throughout your day, 5, 10, 15 minutes, just to help yourself recharge and refocus. See ya.
